The final was not great I am not a Bulls supporter and thats the end of that. The child is my brother in laws grand child they are famous Blue Bull supporters and left him with us for ten minutes, he became a STORMER. First picture snow on the Helderberg 29/05/2010. The second one is about some of the wine we drank this weekend. It was a side by side tasting of 3 Pinot Noirs. All were great in there own way. We also drank a 1999 Shiraz from Zonnebloem fine art collection. Hanging on for dear life but lovely bottle age and stil drinkable. The line up on the couch is Diana me Bronwyn ,Dianas daughter Chantal Hendriks partner and Hendrik is my son. We spent a lovely weekend eating and drinking we had braaied snoek today for lunch what a day . Back in Blouberg now crisp and cool. Saturday morning was scary 5 degrees at 8 o clock coldest day since we live here. Look like we are going to have a cold winter. Have to stock up on a lot of good red wine. Wine tasting at Dombeya

This was not only a wine tasting it was a whole afternoon of great wines and food to match the wines. What a beautiful day after a whole week of rain. We started with a glass of Sauv Blanc and then Chardonnay to start our meal with. We started eating at about half past one and carried on until nearly five o'clock. We tasted a huge veriety of wines. We blind tasted 2 Bordeaux and then tasted Dombeya's own Bordeaux blend that was very similar in elagance but obviously southern hemisphere. The next wine was the Haskell 2007 Tri-Nations winning Shiraz. What a great wine. Cheese platters came out and a bottle of 1953 Jerepigo came out the celler to finish the day off.

Hello full moon

What a weekend. We had some good wines good food and good news as well as bad. Live for today, dont put it off. My sister's daughter had a little boy that they are going to call Ludick Spies Botha after Spies from the Blue Bulls poor kid. His father and mother live in the Cape and are crappy blou balletjie supporters. Shame poor kid. Then we got an email from one of Diana's fellow workers from her previous job that is dying from cancer. I only met her for one night and really liked her. She took a case of Glen Carlou Shiraz with her to Aus. Hope she had time to drink some of it. Good buy Babs.

Walk at Bigbay.

Went for a lovely walk at Bigbay . The weather stunning. Also on was the Freedom swim from Robben Island. It looked like the greate escape, lots off boats following the swimmers. We did a one hour walk hundreds of people on the beach. Cooked nice meal and sat back to watch Motto GP.Just find out that my sisters daughter had her baby.

Waterkant straat in bo Kaap.

We decided to go for a breakfast in the Bo Kaap at Cafe Max. We both had egg Benedict because Diana read about it on twitter. First a big search and that is where I took the pickture. Very good coffee and and the egg benedict also very good.Thought for a few hours we were in France. Discovering parts of Cape Town we never knew about. What a treat more coffee shops and restaurants than you can use in six months. Got home and had lots of rocket that was getting to big and we made it into pesto. Cooking a lovely lamb stew.
