What a nice day at Haskell (Dombeya). We have been very lucky to be the first ones to reply to attend the Cab Sav tasting with the wine maker. We tasted the different barrel samples of the Merlot first all 2009 , then Cab Sav, and then blends. Then a mystery bottle of Cabernet that was absolutely mind blowing. When revealed it was a 1999 Paul Cluver Cabernet. What a good wine ten years down the line. We had lunch and Diana had Catch of the day fish and I had Moroccan lamb shank with Dombeya Bordeaux blend, it worked well with both meals. What a lovely place to have a meal.
